Product & Sourcing
Our matcha consists exclusively of first-harvest leaves grown in Yame (Fukuoka) and Nagasaki, Japan. The leaves are shade-grown for up to 30 days and slowly stone-ground into an exceptionally fine micro-powder. This preserves rich umami and vibrant emerald color, while keeping bitterness exceptionally low.
We offer three distinct single-origin ceremonial green teas and one specialty roasted tea: Miyabi features buttery pastry and white chocolate notes; Akari has ripe wild berries, spring blossoms and a crisp finish; Chisa carries delicate floral notes of morning dew and sweet pea blossoms; and Mori is a roasted Hojicha powder with toasted hazelnut and warm cocoa.
No. Mori is a roasted green tea powder (Hojicha) made from Nagasaki-grown Yabukita leaves. The leaves are slowly batch-roasted to unlock rich caramelized and nutty flavors. It brews a warm amber color, is virtually caffeine-free, and is deeply calming for evening rituals.
Preparation & Usage
Sift 2–3g into a warmed dry bowl. Add 60–70ml of warm water at 70°C / 175°F. Avoid boiling water. Whisk briskly in a rapid W or M motion using a bamboo whisk until a dense layer of fine green froth forms.
Sifting ensures a smooth, clump-free suspension and effortless micro-foam whisking.
Absolutely. For a cold or iced latte, whisk 2g of matcha with 40ml of warm water to create a rich, concentrated shot. Pour over ice and your preferred plant-based or dairy milk. Oat milk pairs especially well with Miyabi's creamy umami profile.
It prevents cold ceramic from dropping your water temperature too quickly, keeping your tea at the ideal warmth.
Matcha does not melt or dissolve in water; it is finely ground tea leaf tissue suspended in liquid. A bamboo whisk (chasen) features delicate, flexible tines engineered to aerate the suspension, break up clumps, and create a smooth, velvety micro-foam.
Soaking the tines of your bamboo whisk (chasen) in warm water for 10–15 seconds softens the delicate wood so it flexes smoothly without snapping during whisking.
Storage & Freshness
Matcha is delicate and sensitive to air, light, heat, and moisture. Keep your unopened tin tightly sealed and stored in the refrigerator. Ensure the lid is firmly secured to prevent the tea from absorbing surrounding food aromas. Once opened, keep away from direct sunlight.
For optimal vibrant color, sweet aroma, and rich umami, enjoy your matcha within 4 to 6 weeks after opening. Unopened tins stored in a cool, dark environment remain fresh for up to 12 months from the grinding date.
Orders, Shipping & Returns
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. Tracking details will be emailed to you immediately once your package has shipped.
Due to the perishable nature of single-origin artisanal tea, unopened tins in original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Opened tins cannot be returned for safety and quality assurance reasons.
